Introduction
What is Second Show?
Second Show is a platform built to connect the worlds of arts, artists, and audience. It allows creators to showcase their work, receive credit, and find meaningful collaboration. For producers, it’s a structured way to organize credits, promote their productions, and reach the right audience. And for audience, it’s a window into the rich, behind-the-scenes world of creativity.
How will it help Artists?
Artists can build a professional portfolio, highlight original and credited works, and get discovered by both peers and producers. It’s a space to establish a creative identity, maintain a growing track record, and be appreciated by a general audience that cares about the people behind the art, not just the finished product.
How will it help Producers?
Second Show helps producers streamline the crediting process, showcase their productions, and find the right artists for future projects. It ensures that contributors get visible and verified credit, and that each production finds a place in front of a relevant and art-loving audience.
How will it help Audience?
Audience get to explore more than just the finished film or performance, they get to know the people who made it possible. Whether you are curious about an editor’s or cinematographer’s past work or want to support an emerging actor, Second Show makes discovery easy and rewarding. Our Release Calendar feature also helps you keep track of what’s coming soon and what’s just released, so you never miss a meaningful release.
How is it different from other platforms?
Unlike other social media or streaming services, Second Show is not just about promotion or content consumption. It’s about recognition, visibility, and collaboration in the creative process. It focuses on the people and credits behind the work, giving space to the entire artistic ecosystem, not just the end product.

Artists
What are Original Works?
Original Works are independently created projects that you’ve played a meaningful role in, whether as a director, actor, editor, composer, writer, or in any other artistic capacity. These works are not backed by a production house and are typically self-published or independently made with collaborators. They serve as a reflection of your creative initiative and help showcase your individual or team-led artistry.
What are Credited Works?
Credited Works are productions officially backed by a production house where you’ve been formally credited for your contribution. These include feature films, short films, music videos, or any creative work where a producer has acknowledged your role as part of the credited team. These credits appear under your portfolio once approved by the production house, and represent verified, professional recognition.
Do I need Credited Works to be eligible for Artist Account?
No. You can request an Artist account even if you don’t have Credited Works yet. Original Works are equally valuable and give us insight into your artistic direction. Second Show welcomes emerging artists and provides space to grow and get discovered, even if you are just starting out.
How do I add Credited Works?
Credited Works can appear on your portfolio in two ways:
- You can raise a credit request from your portfolio, specifying the production and your role. If the associated production house approves it, it becomes part of your verified credits.
- Production houses can also add you directly, without any initiative from your end, in which case the credit automatically reflects on your profile.
What if my Producer doesn’t give me Credit?
We understand how important proper credit is to every artist. While Second Show provides a structured way for you to request credits from production houses, we do not act as a dispute resolution platform. All acknowledgements are at the sole discretion of the production house. We believe in transparency and hope that our tools empower fair recognition, but we cannot interfere in the mutual trust and collaboration between artists and production houses.
Production Houses
How do I add my work to the Release Calendar?
The Release Calendar automatically highlights your production if its Release Date or OTT Release Date falls within the window of two weeks in the past to four weeks from today. This helps ensure that upcoming and just-released works receive timely visibility on the platform.
At what stage can I add a production work?
You can list your production at any stage, whether it’s in pre-production, filming, post-production, or already released. Second Show is designed to help you build visibility throughout the life cycle of a project, including showcasing team members, behind-the-scenes content, and eventually, the final work.
How do I add co-produced works?
Currently, Second Show supports associating a production work with only one production house. We recognize that co-productions are common in the industry, and support for multiple production houses on a single project is planned for a future update.
How do I add a multi-lingual work?
At present, Second Show does not track language information for any production work. We understand the importance of representing multi-lingual projects, and support for specifying one or more languages is planned for a future update.
Are credits mandatory?
Credits are not mandatory, but we strongly encourage you to add them. Crediting your team ensures they receive recognition for their contribution, and it enhances the overall authenticity of your production. Second Show is built to celebrate every creative voice behind a project, from lead roles to backstage contributors. Including credits makes your listing more complete, trusted, and discoverable.
